Tehran is the capital of Iran, it is the most populous city in Iran and the third largest metropolitan area in the Middel East. The majority of the people of Tehran are Persian-speaking people, other Iranian ethnicities in the city are: Azerbaijanis, Armenians, Lurs, and Kurds who speak Persian as their second language.
